Managing the DS Pod | My responsibilities
• Structuring the design system for a 50+ product and design organization
• Managing a team of designers, program management, and writers
• Cross-functional prioritization of component creation based on pod scheduling, and quarterly planning in Jira
• Providing feedback and approvals for net-new design
• Overseeing each designer (25+) uses the design system in Figma
• Ensuring quality and consistency with the QA team
• Collaborating with engineering for component releases in Storybook
• Visual and UX research

Prevents divergence as we scale. The design system uses Storybook for automated component and element updates.
The design system inspires best practices, and serves as an async documentation. It offers a unified repository for resources and toolkits.
A fully responsive grid
Just last year, Aurora’s product did not support breakpoints under 1080px. With this new structuring, we now support mobile web for all of the products (excludes CAD).
Grid fraction sizes
Depending on screen size, content grids will flex using a fraction grid of columns.
