In celebration of App Stores' five year anniversary, PR asked for a commemorative poster that included the milestones and achievements of the App Store and a free gift card.
The poster showcased the insane trajectory of downloads and amount paid to developers as it's main objective. It also included product launches and the top selling, and grossing apps of each year.
My role was to concept and create the poster, and packaging, working directly with PR, the App Store and editorial. Once the design was complete, I worked with a local printer on box prototypes, chose all the materials, attended pre-press, and signed off at press check. The poster was also localized in five languages and distributed to around 500 news outlets around the world. All done within a months time…
